Project: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Editorial Style Guide

Role: Content developer, project lead, writer, editor

As Editorial Director, I saw inconsistencies, across the museum, in the language used to address diverse audiences and created diversity, equity, and inclusion guidelines for all staff. At the time (2018), this was a groundbreaking idea. I convened, collaborated with, and led a diverse team of staff; researched and wrote guidelines; produced an editorial style guide; and created a structure that empowered staff to access and comment on all decisions.
